Curtains have a major role in interior decoration. In fact, no home decor is complete without the addition of some good quality curtains. Due to lack of time, and the hurry to buy these curtains force them to go for ready-made curtains. Unfortunately, ready-made curtains do not appear to be as good as the made-to-order curtains. Just because the buyer did not have a choice in the selection of fabric and curtain design, the curtains may look awkward in the home decor. Often, people have to replace these curtains soon as their quality is questionable and most of them tear off within a year. On the contrary, made-to-order curtains have no such flaws. These curtains, as mentioned earlier, are made at the discretion of the buyer and totally depend upon his/her choice. The first step in the preparation of made-to-order curtain is the choice of fabric. The buyer can look for a multitude of options in the market and then can decide on the best fabric. They should keep in mind the quality and durability of the fabric as some shiny fabrics look good to the eye but have weaker quality. It is a better idea to select a fabric that is elegant and modern but with a strong fabric to ensure durability. Strong fabric curtains are also easy in sewing as the tailor can use heavy machinery to create innovative designs. Made-to-measure curtains can be prepared in any shape or size as per the measurement of your windows. You first need to take accurate measurements of the windows, that is, their length and breadth and other dimensional factors. Once you have taken these measurements, you can write them on a paper and take them to the tailor who will sew them. It will allow the tailor to prepare these curtains as per accurate measurements and without any flaw. Unlike ready-made curtains that sometimes looks quite heavy on the windows, and loosely draped, made-to-order curtains fit perfectly into the windows. This perfect fitting is necessary to ensure a nice flow of the curtains and a good matching with the other elements of the interior décor. It is very important to select a color and design of the curtain that complements the color of the sofas and couches in that room.
